PREVENTIVE MEASURES The department encourages schools to increase education on ways to protect yourself from illnesses such as the cold, flu and also the coronavirus:
• Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
• Cover any coughs or sneezes with your elbow, do not use your hands!
• Clean surfaces frequently, such as countertops, light switches, cell phones and other frequently touched areas.
• Contain- if you are sick, stay home until you are feeling better.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT-
The recent update on the Coronavirus is that Governor Tom Wolf has closed all PA schools for the next ten business days, effective Monday March 16,2020.
As we receive more updates, we will keep you posted.
March 13th - We will be sending home a three day packet for your student. If we have to close, this will give your student three days worth of school work. Teachers will contact their classes if the closure last more than three days.
What happens Monday, March 16th-
Have students complete their 3 day packet of lessons. Students will need to return these to school, when school is reopened.
Beginning Thursday March 19th
K-2nd will continue their daily work, that was sent home in their packets.
3rd - 12th Grade will begin their online classes.
IMPORTANT- IF you do not have internet access to log on to google classroom please call the school Monday so we can supply you with work needed.
Preschool Classes - No additional work will be assigned.
Kindergarten - 2nd Grade -
Teachers will email you what students are to do next, after the three days are up.
We also will post this information on the website.
We will be assigning, Reading, Math, English & Spelling.
You will be emailed every Monday with that weeks work.
Your teacher will also be available daily as needed.
Students will be instructed to bring those books home daily.
3rd - 12th Grade-
Teachers will communicate with students/parents via google classroom.
3rd-5th Grade will be assigned Reading, Math, English & Spelling.
6th - 12th Grade will be assigned Math, English/Lit/Reading, Science and History.
I do not know at this time if the Dept. of Ed will allow us to miss the days without make up days as it has not been decided. As soon as we know information, we will certainly keep you updated.
As more information is made aware to us, we will pass that along to you as well.
