MEET THE TEACHERS
Rich Cramer Math & History

Rich Cramer graduated from Brownsville Area High School and obtained his Bachelor of Arts Secondary Technology Education degree from Fairmont State College.
Rich has been employed as a teacher at Calvary Chapel since 2006. Rich currently teaches 7–12 Grade math/science classes and our tech ed classes.
Rich also works with and accompanies our students on our yearly over sea mission trips as we partner with Hands and Feet Ministries.
Most importantly Rich is married to Kathy, has 3 daughters, and one grandaugher.
Darci Gutosky Math & Science

Darci Gutosky graduated from California Area High School and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from California University of Pennsylvania and her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from California University of Pennsylvania. Darci has been employed as a teacher at Calvary Chapel since 2011.
Most importantly Darci is a wife to John Paul Gutosky and a mom to John and Warren.
Debbie Roberts MS/HS

Debbie Roberts graduated from Waynesburg University (then college) in 1997 with her degree in elementary education. She taught for a time at Open Door Christian school before coming to Calvary Chapel.
Debbie has been employed as a teacher at Calvary Chapel since 2015.
Most importantly Debbie is a wife to husband Kevin and a mom to her son Kevin and daughter Elsa.
Shannon Sheppick French/English

Shannon Sheppick graduated from Cal- U with a degree in health science in 2005, and legal studies in 2015. She transitioned to a secondary teacher for CCCS in 2015. Shannon also obtained her ACTS teacher certification in 2025.
Most importantly, Shannon is a wife to her husband Richard and children, Richard and Luke.
Nena Startare MS/HS Science
Nena Startare is a 2004 graduate of California University of Pa with a Bachelors of Science Sports Management. She has previously worked in the fitness industry before having children and starting substitute teaching at Washington High School. Nena started her journey with CCCS as the assistant track and field coach in 2021 moving into the Health and PE teacher position for k-2 / HS/MS in the 2023 school year. In January Mrs. Startare will be teaching the Middle School and High School Science classes as well as Kindergarten and First grade Gym.
Nena is married to husband Joseph and mother to Rosella and Lilliana.
Jess Golden Literature
Jess Golden graduated from Bethlehem Center High School and received her degree in English Secondary Education from Grove City College. She taught briefly in public school, worked as a language and SAT prep tutor at Huntington Learning Center, and taught writing classes for a homeschool co-op. For the last 16 years she has been blessed to work for a Presbyterian church in Cecil, PA serving as their administrative assistant. She is excited to return to the classroom!
Jess is wife to her husband, Matt, and mom to Henry and Alice.
Christi Cook - Burkhardt MS/HS

Christi Cook Burkhardt graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Family Consumer Studies with a minor in Agriculture. She later earned her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology with a minor in Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Kentucky University.
Christi brings 15 years of experience in education, having served in a variety of roles including classroom teacher and guidance counselor. After previously serving as a substitute teacher at Calvary Chapel Christian School, Christi joined the faculty as a teacher in 2026. She currently teaches middle and high school Literature, History, and Bible.
Most importantly, Christi is a wife to her husband, Joshua, a mom to four children, and dog mom to the family's beloved pup, Chewie. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, baking, and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats.
Ashley Roofner MS/HS

Ashley Roofner is a 2022 graduate of Calvary Chapel Christian School. She earned her Bachelor of Science in PreK–Grade 4 Education from Pennsylvania Western University – California in 2026 and is a Pennsylvania-certified teacher with a PreK–12 STEM Endorsement.
Ashley has worked with children for several years and has served in her church’s children’s ministry since 2016. She also has experience working with secondary-aged students. Since 2023, she has tutored mathematics and science through PennWest California’s Upward Bound program.
Ashley began serving at Calvary Chapel Christian School in 2022 as a substitute teacher and officially joined the faculty in 2026. She currently teaches middle and high school mathematics and science, as well as worship band.
Outside of the classroom, Ashley enjoys playing acoustic guitar and volleyball. Most importantly, she loves the Lord and is passionate about using her gifts to serve Him and encourage the next generation.
Kaitlyn Roth 5th Grade

Kait Roth graduated from Ringgold High School in 2006, then went on to attend California University of Pennsylvania. She graduated from Cal U in 2011 with a degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. She has been employed by the Ringgold School District and Kindercare Learning Center. She took a break from teaching to raise her children. She joined Calvary Chapel Christian School at the beginning of the 2025 school year as the fifth grade teacher.
Most importantly, Kait is a wife to her husband, Rob, and mom to her two children, Kat and Kase.
Nicole Spohn 4th Grade

Nicole Spohn graduated from Waynesburg University in 2016 with a degree in early childhood education as well as special education. Mrs. Spohn is also a Pennsylvania and ACTS certified teacher. Mrs. Spohn has been employed at CCCS since 2019
Nicole is a wife to Tyler and a Mom to Delainey, Scarlet, and Remi.
Jessica Vojacek 3rd Grade

Jessica Vojacek graduated from Bethlehem Center High School and went on to attend the Community College of Allegheny County.
Jessica served as a preschool teacher for five years prior to joining Calvary Chapel Christian school in 2022. Her experience and love for children has made her a natural fit for her role at Calvary Chapel Christian School.
Most importantly, Jessica is a wife to Matthew and mom to Lillian, Altin, and Poppy.
Laura Leska 1st Grade

Laura Leska teaches 1st grade at CCCS. Mrs. Leska graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with an education degree. Mrs. Leska is a California state certified teacher as well as an ACTS certified teacher. Mrs. Leska stepped in mid year at CCCS as the first grade teacher in the 2020-21 school year. Mrs. Leska loves her students and enjoys working with them daily.
Mrs. Leska is married to Shawn and a mom to 5 children.
Casey Burrows 2nd Grade

Casey Burrows graduated from McGuffey High School. She went on to attend Slippery Rock University, graduating in 2007 with her Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Elementary Education.
Before joining Calvary Chapel Christian School, Casey taught in Elementary and Special Education positions for three years in both public and private schools. She then took a ten year break from teaching to be a stay-at-home mom. Once her youngest started school in 2021, Casey joined Calvary Chapel Christian School as our 2nd grade teacher.
Casey has been married to Josh for almost 16 years and has three children, Layla, Kate, and Mark.
Bailey Thorn Kindergarten

Bailey Thorn graduated from Bryan College in Dayton, TN in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education and earned her Master’s degree in Higher Education from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA in 2012. She has taught at Calvary Chapel Christian School since 2021. From working in a college setting, photographing weddings, and teaching preschoolers and now teaching in kindergarten, she says they all have one thing in common: “It’s all herding cats.” Bailey loves working with kids at Calvary Chapel.
Most important to Bailey are her relationships
with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; her husband, Ryan Thorn; and her sons Ryley and Reese.
Jerri Galie Preschool

Jerri Galie is a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School. She attended California University of Pennsylvania majoring in Elementary Education. She started working at Calvary Chapel in January of 2023 as a substitute teacher and returned as a kindergarten teacher in the fall of 2023. In 2026, Mrs. Galie moved from kindergaten to preschool teacher.
Mrs. Galie has 30 years experience with students and children working in Fayette County Social Service Agencies, public schools, after school programs, day-care, and as a preschool teacher. She loves teaching preschool, but kindergarten remains her favorite.
Mrs. Galie is married to Joseph Galie and mom to Nicholas.
Jacquelyn Oskey Preschool

Jacquelyn Oskey is a homeschool graduate with an Erie diploma. She has been around children from a young age and has helped in the preschool classes at church. Jacquelyn has worked at a daycare and at Camp Carmel a in the summer. In addition to her love of children, she loves reading and writing. But most importantly, she loves her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Jodee Cannon Music

Jodee Cannon graduated from Carlynton High School and attended Duquesne University School of Music. Jodee has taught music at CCCS since 1999. As the school has grown so have her teaching opportunities. She enjoys working with all grade levels - Elementary through Senior High. Her music instruction also includes vocal coaching for the CCCS musical theater productions. She is so thankful to be married to her husband (and Pastor) Jim and is the mother of their son Jacob, who is also a Pastor.

Dr. JoAnna Teslovich Principal

JoAnna Teslovich graduated from California Area High School, obtained her Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education from California University of PA, her Masters in Special Education from Waynesburg University and earned a PhD-ED – Doctor of Philosophy in Education from National University in April of 2023. JoAnna has been at Calvary Chapel since fall of 2022.
JoAnna has held numerous teaching positions such as, alternative ed, middle school special education, high school life skills, kindergarten teacher, high school special education cyber, and seventh grade math cyber. JoAnna enjoys dancing and teaching dance in the evenings. She also enjoys helping with choreography for the school musicals
Most importantly JoAnna is a wife to Tyler Teslovich and a mom to Owen, Dominic, Cody and Clayton.
Assistant Pastor Lonny Ferreiro Bible & Spanish

Pastor Lonny is originally from San Diego Ca. He attended Calvary Chapel Bible College in
Vista Ca. beginning in 1993. He went on to serve as a youth pastor, young adult Pastor,
assistant Pastor, and Spanish Pastor at various Calvary Chapels since then.
He is assistant Pastor of Calvary Chapel Brownsville and additionally teaches High school Bible class, Spanish and Life Skills at Calvary Chapel Christian School.
Pastor Lonny and his wife Heidi have been married for 34 years. They have four adult children and have gained one son in law(so far).
