  • Jog for Jesus- Jog for Jesus (J4J) is an annual event here at the school. This is a combined end of year picnic and fundraiser. We ask that EVERY family and student participate. This will be one of the simplest fundraisers for you as a parent! 


  • We ask that you send in 10 names/addresses per student and we will do the rest! What happens next,  the students write letters to those family/friends and ask for a donation, for jogging. 

  • It does cost the school around 10.00 per student for the day, which is why it is important that everyone participates. 

  • Students receive a free t-shirt and lunch that day. 

  • Students also have the opportunity to purchase silly string, for the silly string your teacher event. Silly string is $2.00 per can.

  • We ask that you purchase the stilly string from the school, and not send in pre-bought cans with your child. Students may purchase one or two cans. 


  • PRESCHOOL-It is suggested for preschool to only purchase one can because it is hard for the little ones to handle two at the same time

    • The event is Friday, May 15th.  

    • Attached is the permission/T-shirt size/ Silly String form. 

    • Please have the form filled out and returned to the office by February 19th. 

    • NOTE: If you would like to volunteer on event day, you can sign up on the permission form, there is a section for you to fill out. 

    • If you are also interested in helping out with donations we are asking for cases of water and oranges.

  • Jog for Jesus- Please fill out the attached address list form for your student. Please fill out the form and submit it by Monday, February 24th.


  • Sarris Candy- We will be selling Sarris Candy for Easter. We are praying that this fundraiser helps with the general operating costs of the school. Brochures will be sent home today, Wednesday, February 12th. Payment and orders will be due Monday, March 2nd. Pick up day will be Friday, April 3rd.


  • Open Gym- Calvary Chapel Basketball is having open gym nights starting on Friday, February 28th. All are welcome to come play basketball. 

    • Admission will be $1 to anyone entering the building.

    • Gym time will be 3:30-5:30 pm

  • Office Depot-Our School can earn 5% back in credit for online and in store purchases made at Office Depot. Simply make a purchase of qualifying school supplies,  provide our school's ID 70204501 at checkout (in store and online) and the school will receive 5% back in credits for FREE supplies!

    • It's a small act that can make a huge difference.

  • Yearbook Pictures-  Please share any pictures you take this year at school events, activities, and field trips! We would love to have them for the 2019-20 yearbook. Email them to:


  • Parent Text Messaging/Remind App- The SchoolWay app that we have used in previous years for snow day/2hr delay text announcements is not longer available. Therefore, we are going to use the remind app for this purpose. We send text messages for bad weather cancellations and delays, emergency information, general announcements/reminders. A few things about the remind app;

  • 1- It is not a two-way text app. The school will not respond to messages received on remind. 

  • 2- Purpose is simply to get important information directly to you in a fast, convenient way. 

  • 3-The App is free. 


  • Simply click on this link, from your smartphone and follow the prompts. If you do not have a smartphone, contact the office and we will get you set up on your current cell phone. 


Scrip-  CCCS participates in the Scrip program. Scrip is ordering gift cards and a portion of the credit earned goes toward your student's tuition and the school.

  • Our next order will be Wednesday, February 26th, 2020 and gift cards will be sent home on  Wednesday, March 4th, 2020.

  • As always, if you only want plastic gift cards, you do not need to set up an account. Just turn in one check or money order and your order form.

  • Lunch Orders can only be placed through the DESK TOP VERSION OF SYCAMORE- Lunches can not be ordered through the APP .


  • Extra Entree Update:

    • Starting February 1, 2020 Any extra entrees that include sides will be raised to $3.00 

    • Pre-ordered and Forgotten Lunches will not be affected 





  • Outside Recess- Please dress your child appropriately during the winter months because the students do play outside. Students should have a hat, gloves, scarves, etc.  If they are not dressed appropriately, they will have to sit in the office and will miss recess. Our guidelines are if the temperature is above or at 32 degrees the students do play outside, of course for only 20 minutes. 




  • Cinderella/Musical Theater- 

    • We are in full swing with getting prepared for our spring production of Cinderella. Please see above for performance dates. We do have some Saturday practices scheduled and have listed January/February practices below: 

    • Saturday, February 22nd - Musical Theater Rehearsal 1:00 - 4:00 PM

    • Saturday, February 29th - Musical Theater Rehearsal 1:00 - 4:00 PM


    • Please be sure your child brings a water and a snack. Practice times are from 1:00 - 4:00.

    • Look for an upcoming date for a parent meeting regarding costumes and staging. 

    • If you are willing to help with set, props, concessions, advertising please reach out to Mrs. Cannon.

  • Science Fair-We are excited to again be having a science fair for students in Ms. Williams & Mrs. Roberts science classes in conjunction with our annual open house March 26th. 


  • Teachers will continue to review the details of the what, when, how of the requirements for the fair. 

  • We are attaching the packet given to students to this email for your reference. 

  • We will be bringing in judges from outside the school faculty. We will have a 1st & 2nd place for 6th-8th grade, a 1st & 2nd place for 9th - 10th grade as well as 1st place overall. A few important dates:

  • Final Due Date March 26th

  • Background/Research - February 21, 2020

  • Bibliography - February 21, 2020

  • Hypothesis - February 28, 2020

Scrip is fundraising while you shop!  Buy gift cards from over 750 retailer brands you already shop at and earn a rebate on every gift card you purchase.  A portion of the rebate is applied toward your student's tuition.  


The scrip program is ran through, a company that has worked with over 30,000 nonprofit organizations over the course of 23 years.  If you are new to Scrip, you will need to sign up and create an account to order online.


Please see the attached documents on how to sign up and create an account.  


If you would like to simply order plastic gift cards only, you do not need to set up an account. Please print the attached scrip order form and submit with payment to the school office.  Plastic cards are ordered once a month through the office.
