Welcome to Calvary Chapel Christian School

About Us:

Mission Statement: The mission of CCCS is to magnify Jesus Christ by offering students in the surrounding communities an academically sound Christian education.

Philosophy: Our purpose at Calvary Chapel Christian School is to assist parents in their God-given responsibility to "bring their children up in the training and instruction of the Lord." Ephesians 6:4

We believe that every child is a gift from God; each with their own interests and needs. We believe that every child develops on his/her own level of growth. Therefore, we as partakers in this process need to develop a trusting and loving relationship with each child. We believe that we are instructed by God to teach the goodness and mercy of God’s unending

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
Colossians 3: 12-14

The teaching of scripture is our foundation, and the Word of God provides the basis for all that we do. Students will be taught to be an example of the believer in word, deed, love, spirit, faith, and purity.

Our prayer is that our students, staff, and parents will give themselves wholly to reading, exhortation, and doctrine.

At Calvary Chapel Jr. Sr. High School we believe that we are to assist parents to; “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6) We believe that Christian Education at the Jr. Sr. high school level should be “fruit producing” (2 Timothy 3:15-17) We believe that more focus should be given on teaching our pre-teens and teens to Love the Lord their God with all their heart, mind, soul and strength. We desire to provide opportunities for the students to grow in these things to promote Christ-like nature. We believe that it is time to begin to develop leaders and servants for Jesus Christ. Our goal is to work with the home to help develop Godly character, and to train our students to be “salt and light” to become leaders in whatever they may choose to do. We also believe that there should be clear and concise spiritual/academic gals for the students through the teacher, classroom, curriculum and school environment. “Study to show thyself approved unto God. A workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” -2 Timothy 2:15

Welcome to Calvary Chapel Christian School. Founded in 1996 as a preschool with 2 teachers and 4 students, CCCS has experienced steady growth. In 2012 after 16 blessed year, CCCS expanded to offer preschool, elementary and junior and senior high school classes. From a single church classroom, our campus has expanded to include two additional school buildings and playground. CCCS is a member in good standing of Calvary Chapel Education Association and the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools. CCCS is registered with the departments of Education, and has its own chapter of National Honor Society.

Calvary Chapel Christian School (CCCS) provides a Christian world view academic education founded upon the Word of God. Our Purpose is to assist parents in their God-given responsibility to “...bring their children up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:4). CCCS’s goal is to build Godly character in children by educating them in a Christ-centered environment where their love for Christ and others will grow. To do so, we focus not only on academic excellence, but also on providing a loving Christian environment where our children can be nurtured in the ways of the Lord. Our Vision is to provide a quality, Christ-centered comprehensive academic program, built upon the foundation of God, His Word and Jesus Christ. We offer a number of co-curricular disciplines including Computer, Music, Instrumental, Gym & Art. The King James Version Bible is used for classroom & memory work. All classes are taught from a Biblical perspective.

CCCS offers a curriculum in accordance with Pennsylvania State standards. CCCS uses the BJU Press as its curriculum choice. BJU Press is a nationally recognized and approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.. BJU is a widely used Bible-based curriculum. BJU Press strongly emphasizes reading for comprehension and application, language arts, literature appreciation, and a strong math base. Our excellent academic curriculum also emphasizes natural science with hands-on experiences, computer technology, social studies, art, music, and physical education for all ages. The instructional program, reinforces and teaches correct oral and written communication, study skills, and appropriate decision-making. Our students tested above the national norms in their grade level on the Stanford Achievement test. The curriculum is designed to provide students the means to become successful in their spiritual, intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development. Instruction is given with attention to the learning styles and unique needs of each student using a sequential approach to skill development and a team approach to instruction. Our faculty of teachers, as well as the student, continue their education in an effort to bring quality education to their students.
